Horseback riding

Today was amazing! I took my chance today. I went Horseback riding!! It is amazing when you horseback ride here because you have the freedom to interact with your house and trot with it!! I have learned so many tips in just 1 hour!! I love my horse! Her name is Asya! I love her! We now have such a strong connection. She can hear what I am thinking. It is amazing to have such a wonderful horse! Compared to America horseback riding there you cant really go by yourself with the horse, however, here they trust you. I am going to bring carrots, apples, and sugar cubes for my horse next week! I will post a video of my horse and my next week too! My hands and legs are very sore right now because i was practicing trotting and you have to go up and down with the horse!! It was the best day of my life so far!

my apartment!

my new apartment is wonderful!! I absolutely LOVE IT!!! My room is big and i have big windows to look out to see the beautiful lights at night in moscow!!! I am next to a mini shopping mall with a grocery store and movie theater!! I am delighted to live in moscow but not as much as living in Irvine! I have a bad habit now going to the grocery store every day and buying candy..I still haven't got use to living in apartment because i am used to being surrounded by big walls.

My life so far.....

September 11. By Anya
"My life so far in Moscow isn't that great! I don't have many friends, I am still trying to catch up on reading, writing, and speaking Russian, and it is REALLY different! The roads are horribly CRAZY here and the metro scares me now because of the terrorist attack.....and it is kind of boring for me here!!!" ~ Anya

"My life so far is quite interesting! I have many friends, I can read, write and speak Russian, BUT it is REALLY DIFFERENT! After dropping Anya at school, I spend around an hour in traffic coming back home with a headache (drive to school takes 15 minutes). Anya is right about crazy driving. After today's driving I went straight to bed and slept for 2 hours, since sleep is the best remedy from stress. Especially, not sleeping through the night - was waking up few times to get up at 5:30 am and send Alex to school. His class must have landed in Sochi now. They will spend 5 days in the southern capital of Russia, going up into the mountains, enjoying the beach, etc...and getting to know each other and their teachers!

I miss, I miss, I miss waking up in the morning and seeing a bright California sun with a blue sky and not a single cloud in the sky. I've seen gray clouds every morning for the last 2 weeks. Really different. Had to give up Perricone's promise to stay healthy and young, meaning avoiding coffee and having only green tea. Sorry, Dr. Perricone, it does not work in places, where there's no sun. Enjoying my double expresso now and life is getting better. Ahhhh..." ~ Lana.

British School

I was about to go to the Anglo American School of Moscow, however, i found out that I am still on the waiting list and i couldn't go to school for a week. Unfortunately, I am going to The International School of Moscow (a British school) I just got my uniform and I am not psyched about having to wear it. There is only one good thing about this..I am #1 on the waiting list! Probably after a semester in the Anglo American school i will get in! I will keep you informed!!   ---  Anya

I love my California girl, who used to wear flip flops and shorts 365 days! It's hard for her to wear tights and shoes, blouses, blazers, etc... But she's opened for doing it and looks Great! I really appreciate her spirit and willingness to open new things for her in life! - Lana
